Nominations Open for Stephen E. Sallee Assistive Technology Awards of Excellence

The Grant Advisory Council for the NC Assistive Technology Program (NCATP) is receiving nominations for the 2019 Stephen E. Sallee AT Awards of Excellence.

These awards honor the spirit of an individual who overcame numerous physical obstacles resulting from an accident, became a professor, created a support group, the “Adaptables”, in Winston-Salem, and helped create the current AT center in Winston-Salem.

The two awards honor professionals and Assistive Technology (AT) users who have made significant contributions towards promoting AT in North Carolina and making AT more accessible to those who need AT.

Nominations are due August 23, 2019 and awards will be presented at the 2019 AT Vendor Expo on September 26, 2019.
