NCCDD is hiring Hispanic Latina/o/x Community Health Worker -- Temporary Solutions to support the Council’s work to develop relationships and connections between NCCDD Staff and Council Members and Hispanic or Latina/o/x individuals with I/DD, family members, and stakeholders.
The position is part-time, and the Council is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) bicultural contractor, who speaks fluent Spanish and English, and who has work experience and/or personal experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
The contractor will work with the Council to do community health work as outlined on the website, and due to the nature of Temporary Solutions work with NC DHHS, the individual will work 11 out of 12 months/Year. The person in this position will primarily perform their duties remotely throughout North Carolina.

This Part-Time, temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services Council on Developmental Disabilities Division.

The Person in this position will primarily perform their duties remotely throughout the State of North Carolina.
Up to $5,000 per year also will be available, with approval of NCCDD, for travel, conferences, materials, flyers, documents, speaker fees, translations, interpretation, quarterly meetings, and related expenses to further the work of this position.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Master's degree in a discipline relative to the program from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of related experience; or
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline relative to the program area from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
