By Karen Hamilton

On Tuesday, July 17, the Joy A. Shabazz Center for Disability Rights hosted a luncheon at the DoubleTree Hotel in Greensboro to celebrate the 28th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

More than 90 people, including advocates with disabilities, business representatives, service providers and others, participated in the celebration. In addition to a delicious lunch, the event included ADA games, guest speaker Karen Hamilton representing the NC ADA Network, several vendor booths, fantastic door prizes and ADA anniversary birthday cakes.
